I think this is what you want.
As soon as I find where it is stored.
I have attached a project that I am trying to make into a pattern (hope this works). When I group everything and make pattern only some of it is used. It has been a long time since I have used the...
That's what I thought but figured I would check with someone that knows a lot more about it than I do. Thanks for the quick replies.

Is it possible to change from optimal to best during a carve. I would like to do part of the carve in optimal and part in best or normal for drilling (135 holes) it would make the carve a lot faster....
I wish I had read this before I started again. Just got home from work and started the machine going, then I started reading this. Oh well I will see what happens, if this doesn't work I will try the...
Thanks for the advice. It didn't seem to make any difference what I did so I am going to reformat the card, reload the machine logic and try again. This time I will use normal instead of optimal and...
Just tried removing the carve region and just carve the text, no luck. It just kept asking for the 60 degree bit , then I changed the thickness of the board to 1/2 inch, same results. Tried it with...
It's the carvetight chuck. I was using a 60 degree bit. The carve region is .25 inches deep.
I will try your first suggestion in the morning and keep a close eye on it. hopefully if it starts to hit...
I have just had a fatal z axis stall after carvingI a five hour carve region. There was to be center line text within the carve area. Is there any way to change the pattern so as not to have to spend...
I have close to 200 hours on my carving bit. It is the original bit that came with the machine (about 300 hours on the machine) I have found that the 60 & 90 degree bits dull faster that the carving...
Thanks Ike, sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I found a picture of one that I was able to convert to a pattern. with my wife's painting talent it truned out very good.
The person that ordered the sign specified that he wanted a Herford on the sign. Thanks bjbethke I will try this and see if he will accept it.
Does anyone have a pattern for a herford cow, I have checked all sites that I know of and can't find any.
I think you have to have all character positions filled for cw to work with it.
The plaque is 12x5.5 inches with the bear and 5 lines of centerline text it took about 1 hr. With best it took about 38 minutes. With optimal setting I didn't have to sand and I was able to keep...
think I might have it. It increases carve time , but I hate to sand so I would rather let the machine work longer.
This is my first carving with the new update. There has been no sanding at all this is just the way it came out of the machine. I think LHR got this update right.
I'll see if I can get the picture...

I don't think you can make a complete path with a mirrored object. It think I have tried it and it will not allow you to attach the end points.
I tried the carve I was working on and it apparently ignores the board to thick message, it made two cuts just as I was hopeing it would. Guess I will keep using it.
I just tried to use the new cut path and I think I have done something wrong.
I set the max. cut path to .375 thinking it would take 2 passes to complete the cut. When I tried to run it the machine...
Has anyone heard anything about Ace Hardware lately. Just wondering if they are still going to be a vendor for CW. Can't find anything on the ACE web site about it.
Can you post a picture of what you are trying to do. Maybe someone will be able to head you in the right direction. Try attaching the mpc file that you are wo0rking on.
