I take this as saying I will value the lesson more if I figure it out myself, and you are probably correct. After figuring out most of the ways to do something wrong, the right way comes pretty easy....

In the test scans I have seen how the positioning of the item to be scanned can affect the final outcome (carving too). Some of what looks to be flaws in the scan do not even show...
