When you installed 11 it reset your computer ID for Designer. You did the right thing.
How does this pattern carve on the other machines? When I mouse over the pattern I do get a zero depth reading as I get towards the center.
How is the bit plate? Is it held out straight and flat...
Nope, you will need to get it resolved with the CW folks. sorry about that
Where in the how to it says OWNER that will probably be your name or what you set up your computer ID to be.
The Y test numbers do not mean much to the user. Maybe a cw tech might know. Take a look at the Y belt, Y belt tension and the Y gear box bearings on the Y motor. You have lost Y position.
All of those mentioned plus no bit optimization set, the height of the pattern is to high, do draft, upload quality setting to low (never use draft for a finish carving setting) best and optimal are...
Did you move all of your CarveWright files to the new computer or just install Designer on the new computer? If just installing that does not transfer anything, you will need to manually move them.
I would give CarveWright a call to be sure but, you should be able to have Designer installed on a Windows and a Mac to complete your 2 licenses.
Jim,
Glad to see you back to carving. Great project and thanks for the step by step process.
I would call CarveWright help desk.
Other things to try,, increase the rendering cache size in the preference settings to 256MB.
I just sent you his email info.. look in your "notifications" tab...
I use my router table. The purpose of the bit stop is so that you are setting the bit in the collet at the same depth each time you use it. During the start up and bit check the machine retains the...
I don't use the keyhole bit in the CW but the shank should be inserted at least the full depth of the collet. The bit stops do not come with the bits so you will need to add your own. If you do not...
Glad to hear that you have the long list all done so that you can now spend some time carving! ;)
Yes the lumber/wood availability and prices are a big issue right now. Look for lumber mills in...
A carve region needs to have a closed path, all lines connected. Are you closing the arc?
Note: you should not double post your questions. I will delete your other post.
Yes the Facebook group has grown in popularity and use for asking questions and showing off ones work. Don't let the platform keep you away. You no not need to get caught up in all of the other crap...
There is not a 3rd party utility to edit the pattern list. One possible cause of your problem is that you were in the CarveWright folder that contains the favorites file and other pattern that show...
Roger Moore from Canada contacted me and he said he has one if you are willing to pay the shipping. If interested contact me here through notifications or on FB Carveaholics group or messenger..
Glad to hear that it worked.
You have been in an area on your computer than you should not be in and tried to open a file with the MPN extension. Those are CarveWright system files and if you try to open one it will generate a...
Thanks for the report on this and good troubleshooting.
Yes I know this, point this to the person asking the question so that they can view the side by side features.
All add on modules will work in the Basic version.
Oh man what a loss. Really sorry to hear about this. I know there were a lot of memories made out of that shop and I am glad that you were able to share some of those with us here in the CarveWright...
