Is there a way to turn on the grid snap while shaping the profile? I want to get this profile as exact as possible. (Man I need to start using this software more. I'm not even familiar enough with...

I figured it would be a long carving time. What did you come up with?
Here's mine with the long 1/16" ballnose bit with the best bit optimization:
At Normal: 4hrs 30+ Minutes
At Best: 6hrs 45+...

I tried out the sweep function yesterday, and if the 3D shape conforms exactly to the width and height of the profile drawn, then that's exactly what I need. I need the profile to be exactly 2"...

Will that allow an exact width/height profile along a curved path?

Is it possible to extrude a shape along a curved path?

When I double click on the single control point vertex, it only changes it from free control point to a tangency control point. If the second control point is there, I don't see it.

How do you change a normal red vertex to a spline vertex, and back again?

Ok. To answer my own question... (And leave notes for myself when I have this question again....)

To delete a node or point (called a "vertex" in Designer), you select it, right click, and choose...

In fact, if someone could point me to a basic tutorial on node/point editing in Designer, it would be most appreciated. Basic Control point editing tutorial also.

So if the optical sensors are finding all the edges of the board, then why does the bit do the "bob" thing?

Oh. It's finding the board thickness? I suppose it knows where the zero point is...

Oh. Ok. That makes a lot more sense now. The bit finds the right/left edges of the board, and the optical sensors finds the start/end of the board, right?
