I have had my CarveWright for about 14 years. It's still working fine. I'm interested in the new Raven. When will it actually be available? It seems to always be on pre-order. Are there problems?

Thanks, will check.
No power at all....no 5V or 24V.
Looks like a new power supply is needed.
Thanks for the help.
There is a lot of some kind of sealant there that I'm having trouble removing (see photo). The other side (middle of other photo) looks like where it may be soldered.
Yes, I have a voltmeter, but I don't know where and how to check.
Thanks
In the image (attached), is this the possible offending coil (red arrow)? I tried pushing it in, etc., but still not coming on. I'd replace the board if I was sure that was the problem. Any...
Thanks for the link!
Yes, that's the machine. How can I get to these pictures? Thanks!
I was carving a project (about 3 or 4 minutes into carving) when I got a check motor message. I opened the lid, didn't see a problem, closed the lid and continued with carving. Then, the machine...
Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
Hello Folks,
I'm going to try again to carve a photo (jpeg). The last few times I've tried I have been unsuccessful; that is, the results didn't turn out very well. So, I'm back to the forum...
Another question. :)
I have a CarveWright bit that looks like the attached photo. My question is this: For cutting out patterns, can I also use a 1/8" bit that has 2 or 3 straight flutes...
Steve, your video was very helpful and straight forward. Thanks again.
Steve,
SUPER... I'll look at your video. Now that's great feed back.
Thanks,
Thanks, folks. I really appreciate the help. Steve, on the first method, since one can't set depth on "Cut Path" I assume ti will go through the the top 1/8" ply plus the 1/2" carrier. Bl, I...
I've been asked by our church to cut out a number of angels from sheets of 1/8" birch plywood. I have at least 3 issues to resolve.
1. How do I just cut out the shape without without the bit...
I currently have an older version of the CW machine. I'm thinking of upgrading to a newer model CW. Will my current memory cards and the projects on them work with a newer CW?
Thanks,
Thanks folks......helpful again....as usual.
It has been several months, so I guess my old brain doesn't remember the "rules" for using CUT PATH. In the attached, can anyone tell me why I can't cut a path in the design I have? What am I...
I assume you mean looking for JPG's and making a pattern from that? Sounds like a plan, thanks.
I was looking for borders within the forum.
I'm trying to find some border patterns. I never have much luck using the "search" option. I tried using "search" for "borders" and it came up with no hits? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Al,
I'm not having a problem with the 1/8" cutting bit. The only bit giving me a problem (at least for now) is the 1/16" carving bit. In fact, the 1/8" cutting bit extends about 1/4" farther...
Thanks, folks. I appreciate the feedback. I'm going to give Al's approach a try. After reading all your feedback, I'm becoming more convinced that a recent change in the CW software/firmware is...
Thanks Al, I'll give this a try.
