CW will not allow you to transfer their software to another computer.
I have tried and all they do is throw up roadblocks. They want me to call them but they don't answer their phones.
WTF?

They don't answer me and at times I have tried 4 or 5 times a day.
I also have had endless trouble.
It has come to the point that they won't even answer their phones !
I hope that CW is not going belly - up......
I have tried for 3 days now and all I get is a end less loop about push this .......
The problem that needs to be resolved is a simple one. However, it's not so simple when there is no support.

As many here are in dire need of info in order to repair their machines, I wonder if Carvewright will release the data needed? Or if they will continue to require us to sent the things back at our...
I was told, and it has been proven, that they will not pay for return shipping even for products that are dead on arrival. This just happened to me.
I was told I would have support for life.
Now they want $500 for a rebuilt.
Maybe it's time to be careful of this company. Very nice people, but just can't take care of the old 'trying hard to...
Would you like another one? I can't get mine to work.

It looks like I will be ignored. They call it beta machines and they won't back up anything. This is a...

After a few trips back to Texas and more than a few replacements of the flex shaft and motor, my machine is basically unusable unless watched over closely to be sure that the cable doesn't fry again....
Thank you David. You must be the only person at CW that I haven't talked to yet.
I'll take back what I said about CW deleting posts. I found the one I was thinking was whacked.
I sure hope you...
I found my missing post.
Again I apologize for ranting on such a nice bunch of people.
I figure (hope) my machine will get fixed before the warranty runs out.
I was going to buy one of the scanners for my 8 month old machine, however the machine still doesn't work (over 15 calls) 2 returns and 6 times they sent me parts, well over 25 hours of my time...
Yes,
you might be mistaken again.
So even if you chose "high quality" and less than .01" carving depth it's still a no go?
Hi J,
I'm in the same boat as you. My machine has been back twice and it still won't spin a bit.
I guess I'll try calling again. The guys are great but my tool just doesn't work.
I have spent...
I have had this happen alot and it started up again today.
I must have 1/2" of spacers on the cable and it still won't work.
My machine has been back to TX a few times now and I'm unsure what...
Carvewright sold the bit holders to Sears for awhile. It doesn't look like they took off as Sears has quit selling them. I picked up a bunch at less than $.25/ea.
These guys really are great.
I think I can safely say that their customer service is the best that I have ever gotten.
I had to send my machine back again as it had other problems.
The team at CW seems top notch.
So, why did you sell?
More than two weeks after posting this thread I have a machine that still doesn't work, and thats on top of the one that was DOA and all the rest of the troubles I had to try to resolve.
I was...
After carving for 1/2 an hour the flex drive on my machine gets too hot to touch for even a second. At 17 hours it froze up and I had one heck of a time getting it apart in order to lube it.
Now...
John,
Cabinet looks good.
