Interesting.... Try turning most of the Shop Lights off that are pointed at the machine. Just looking at this from the Board Sensor point of view. As in a bright light on one end of the machine...

I take a knife and cut that flap off and clean the sensor. Then tape it back up.

Do you have any bright lights shining on the machine? Could be blinding the sensor.

Make sure your Center on page is not set.

That will prevent you from moving it.

Did you use a vacuum cleaner hose to clean it?

Years ago I made a Slot Board to quickly take the guess work out of slots.... You could do the same.... Remember the wood will get bigger and smaller with Humidity.
