It's been in the software for years and normally used for pockets. I agree with Dan.

I would like to show a new violin I finished this week...
Also I would like to say a big thanks to LHR and Ms.C to be exact for some wonderful customer service the other day when I was in a jam...
It's a little large for FVP standard size for fvp is 250, 5" props this one is around 550 size with 10" props. Yes I running a gopro with a nice gimble.
The Flite test site is very cool.

Here is a new one that runs 10" propellers.

That will work. The shells are thin .125" I would need to add a cleat or two down the joint, that would allow bigger sizes for sure on the CW!
That was Ken I was thinking what a fantastic artist and craftsman he was...
A few years back I made this sign using the CW software and adding some patterns. The sign was exported into a rendering software.

Yes I have the pump but man i do not want to make carbon dust when cutting the details what a mess... so a slip form could be cleaner....
Hmm not a bad name...
The max you can set in y in the software is 15" however that will give you 14" to 16" propeller spacing if done like the pattern above... that's a large quad overall as normal props are around 8"...
Yes two sided around 1/8 thick once you make the top all is needed is to copy the top puff to the back side, invert the shape then using the cut tool you can check the thickness as a cross section.
Thanks Floyd!
Yes Lightwave...yes we are OT.
Anything over 14" needs to be off center then saved to Lightwave or other 3D software to mirror. Here is what it looks like the job size is 15 wide. I think this could be a good class project.

Right now I am using maple and for the bigger ones I use 1" MDF. I hoping to do some Vacuum press soon.
Hi MT are you saying that I should scale the 3D model 2x bigger" not talking about tessellation" and then scale the raster down 50% in Aspire? This sound like a good thing to try.
I been having a lot of fun making drones with Designer software Designer lets you quickly make thin shell body's then carve them! bigger ones export using Sculptor for larger machines. I only wish...
I reading it now so lets say I have a 24x24 job size and I place a 8x8 stl in the center I set the project to high this will give me a flawed carving? can you show me this as a JPG?
Ok I looking at the video and the dude said if you are stretching the object 00:100 you loose resolution, I not stretching anything its 1:1. could be we should start a new thread on this flaw.
I was thinking about moving the violin to Aspire for production however I would like to do nesting, it now sounds like a bad idea and i would loose a ton of resolution the work would be flawed and...
MT I think you unfairly assumed a low resolution. however thanks for making me feel like family :)
Please feel free to delete all my posts on this thread the intent was to tell people that I add the tail blocks in Designer. I exported violins all over the world now using the CW and my system. why...
If I set a job to 36x36 and i place three 10x10 stl space ships on the table to carve because i want to mill more than one at a time it will be wrong ? or course not your logic does not aply to the...
Lets say I have a job size of 24x 24 I import a stl that is 20 x 20 are you saying that this would effect my carving if so Aspire has issues and so much for nesting stls.
your kidding me right?
