I was thinking of trying some ebony. One of my 1911's is stainless steel and a nice black grip would look great.
I've been wanting to play around with making some grips myself. I have several different types of 1911 grips as well as Beretta 92/96 grips I can scan.
I'm just stuck on the type of wood to use...
Thanks for the replies. I think what I did was use a larger ogee bit than I specified in the designer. In a way it doesn't make sense because it is still supposed to know the depth of the board and...
I've been trying to make a display stand. Nothing fancy, just routed edges and a small slot at one end. It routs the edges and cuts the slot just fine, but it doesn't cut the base out all the way.

Some of the bad reviews I read I just really wrote off as user error. One...
Congrats. Hope you ejoy it as much as I have mine so far. :)
That's the way I felt when I bought mine last week. I've only done a few things so far but it's really a cool tool.
There's not a...
And I JUST bought the bit set yesterday!! Pretty cool deal though.
Apparently, I'm not the only one looking to build guitars with the help my CW. I'd love to see some pieces others have done with it.
My question is, what kind of materials can be cut with this...
Thanks for the replies. I'm not really adjusting the bit depth and the wood I'm using is pretty light. I was actually thinking it may be the wood, but I'll hold off buying the more expensive stuff...
I saw this machine on the DIY channel recently and had to have it. So, I go to Sears, buy it and get it home. Straight out of the box I set it up, install the software and just randomly selected an...
