downloaded the new release, havent put it to the test but it looks great
been to CarveWright and still no release om 1.131
program i find real usefull is CarvePic....creates 2D vectors out of DXF files and imports them into MPC format....I use Wintopo to take images and convert them into simple DXF

got a copy of corel draw x4 today....will try it out
the only way i have found to make clean 2d vector images is by using fonts......any image imported and edited gives variable results and usually not good ones.....I try to find as many fonts that...
I think the thread was problems with machine and sw.....the quality control of LHR is lousey, 2 machines...first one i got would not crank down all the way (2") to be exact, I was told to take apart...
if not already stated...a full text toolbar with the ability to change fonts and font size and see the font you pick, and the ability to set line spacing, the kind you see in almost all graphic apps.

I have the centerline text and it is good to have but you can take raster text and invert it and it comes out the same...have to check the depth....havent accually tried it in a project yet
thanks Al for all your help.....I used an inspection mirror to see what was going on....as u turn the screw the peice behind has some sort of loctite on it, it all turns together but less than 1/2"...
Ok, i tightened up the y axis with the 2 top nuts and thats fixed, but the lower left screw just turns, so if i understand you right, i have to use a flat head from behind the bearing and hold the...
the lower screw just keeps turrning........
I have 2 machines, one the z and y trucks r nice and tight, on the other the y truck has play in the lower left corner, is there any way to tighten it up??

Are the openings on the sides handles, and is it safe to carry the cw using those openings......they seem to be a place to lift the cw?????
I finally got my cw today. Not only did it take forever to get here but the box it came in looked liked it was about 2 years old. After reluctingly unpacking it, i set up the software, the flash card...

Can the cw carve text using the fonts already on the computer without using the centerline text software????
