new computer registration

My older Mac won't handle an upgrade from the 1.18 version that I use. I have a newer computer also. I would like to leave the old computer as is with it's version but also install a newer version on the new computer. How do I go about this? Do I need to register the new computer?

If you have never had 2 computers registered with the software you can just go through the normal install and registration process for the second computer.
