Here are some heraldric patterns I've been working on.
The griffin head image won't upload, but it's under my first post. That one appears to be the best so far. These ones work best at a depth of .350
Thanks Ken, that looks interesting

RKM very nice patterns
Thought I'd start doing few Decorative Panels again
rkm,
Great work. Do you have anymore heraldic patterns you're willng to sell or share? Specifically, I am doing a project for a friend with his family's coat of arms and need an arm holding a chalice and a crossletfitchee like the ones below. I am willing to hire if that is what it takes. Thanks!

Thank you swobee. Here is a crossletfitchee. I can try the hand & chalice for you, I'll send you a message when it's done.
I bought a few collections of heraldric vectors from Amorial Gold...
http://www.heraldryclipart.com/
The family crest collection was about $50. Any artwork or patterns you make from the vectors are royalty free. I think I have a few thousand heraldry images and not nearly enough free time to make CarveWright patterns. I'd like to start selling PTNs but am giving them away for now.
The more simple vectors like shields and crosses can be loaded into the CW designer after changing the colors within Photoshop, GIMP, or Windows Paint in such a way that CW will respect height. More organic objects like helmets, animals, or curtains need to be sculpted in a program like Blender 3d or Zbrush or the pattern will appear very flat.
I do have a folder of arms and hands similar to your image, most are holding weapons or martial items, and are more bent at the elbow. I can try to merge an open palm, clothed arm, and chalice, then sculpt it.
Here are some things I have so far...
Thank you for those one keep them coming if you can thx again
Here are some swords and shields. (upload fix for the last post)
I was playing around with making different rope patterns or making rope in general...was very easy once I figured it out..few cylinders and a bend deformer...started cutting it up and peicing together ...wasn't making anything in particular..anyways came out with this frame...lol not truly square..but it is what it is...not off too bad. getting the "miters" right in 3d was similar to the chop box...trim carpenter days from college came in handy

That is a real nice rope frame.I'm going to fool around with it. Thank You, jpaluck. Capt Barry

Bring it into your design, size and orient it as needed, copy and paste it for your second version. Size and orient this 2nd version to develop the thickness of the sides as desired. The rest of of your project will depend upon what you wish to attain.

Here is a pattern for a Pentagon Side. This is provided in case you wish to apply tapers or domes to each, or any, side.
