Y rail.
Just over a year ago, 13 months. I replaced both the motors, labeled as z truck and y truck. Seems like they would be alright. The ones I took out don't look bad as far as years.
Then there is the big 2 wheel thing on a bracket. I never replaced it, not sure what it is. Would it have anything to do with the y rail message I was getting. Anyone know what it is.
I ordered stuff a Year ago to try to update, brushes, motors, belts etc.
This clean y rail message got me going.

That would be the X gear assembly.

The gearbox and motor with the hole drilled and tapped into the top for the Z Spring would be a good one to put in the Y to fix a clean rails problem. The Z gets very little wear. The Old Y, I would buy some 685ZZ bearings for it... The bottom one in the picture.

You think the Y motor assembly could be already a problem with maybe a hundred hours.
I can interchange the motors with z and y ? The wiring harness is different, so just exchanging the motor or everything.
Thank you guys for helping. Not a mechanic so I'm muddling along. All you guys, I certainly appreciate your time.

I would change the whole thing. The Motor is wired the same. I have done it a few times as the early Z Motors had a Encoder Circuit Board Jack problem. I ended up with a few Z Assemblies. With them, I just swapped only the gearbox due to the motor problem to fix my Y Problems. Likely your Z Motor is just fine.
