I've never seen so much "fuss" over that muffler cover! I stopped using it the day after I got my first machine. They really don't "do much" anyway except deaden the noise a little. Lots better alternatives as already mentioned. Take a breath...relax...and go carve sumthin'!
When i picked up a "retro classic" CW off ebay to add to my units a year or two ago the guy put a nice gray " not used" sock over the muffler///
+1 to socks. Simple.
I have a tuned pipe from an old RC 60 pylon racer. I don't fly it any longer so I am thinking of afixing it to my CW. Don't know if it will be quieter but it should sound pretty cool!
it might pickup a few more R's also. LOL
In the mean time I went with the rag in the muffler idea.
