Carved wood clothing????
So my wife said it best in her Facebook post:
"So my husband, Frederick, likes to do woodworking as a hobby. He makes all sorts of cool things and especially some nifty wooden jewellery boxes. But really... how many boxes do you really need? So I see that gleam in his eye and I know he is out to the workshop to make something else. So I said, "Please, no more wooden boxes!" So he made me a wooden purse. A light went on above my head. "You can make wooden clothing???" Awesome!! Make me MORE purses please! (He made me three different ones) And then he came up with these cool wooden clock belts. (He made me three different ones). And then he said "How about a wooden bra?". I looked at him like maybe it was time to have him psychologically evaluated. "Oh... like two coconuts?" No way, he said with a smile. Just wait for this! So this is what he came up with. Carved from maple and walnut, held together with fishing line, it definitely is a pretty different bra! But I draw the line at wooden underwear! It just shows what you can come up with when you think outside the box. Any ideas on other clothing or accessories made from unconventional material? BTW, if you ask your hubby to do this, you can expect to also be spending a lot of time helping with sanding, finishing and all sorts of other work. Not fun for me, but when it comes to fashion, a woman has to do what a woman has to do!"

You do not post often, but when you do...you give new meaning to the phrase "thinking out of the box". Very creative and it looks like you really are having fun!

Here is my South Coast Topper I made a while ago. Very wearable. It weighs only 14 ounces. Just 2 ounces more than my silk opera hat.
Carved from a 200 year old timber in Prescott Ontario, on the South Coast of Canada

...and, of course, if you are wearing a vintage wooden top hat you should accessorize with a bamboo bow tie
...also made on the carvewright
