Many thanks it was driving me crazy that I could not find it....
I recall sometime ago being told that the O ring is not really necessary to replace
I'm not sure it would be necessary to replace mine, but I would. My brass roller leaves an imprint on my boards deep enough I don't think there is much chance of slipping. Every machine seems to be different, however - CWs are inconsistent if nothing else!
I hope someone out there will be able to help me; I get a check tracking roller error when I try to do a project. I have visually inspected the roller and it looks fine…any ideas. It worked a day ago.
Thanks for any help
Things to check:
out feed trays out of alignment, raised to high lifting board off of the tracking roller
Sandpaper belt rolled over on the end on keyboard side
Low head pressure
and the troubleshooting guide.. http://www.carvewright.com/support-p...racking_roller
Funny thing is... my tracking roller never leaves a mark, even in pine or mdf. I think it is missing the rubber part below it. So it is functioning on spring pressure only. I always make sure the boards I use are jointed, planed, and squared. I aslo "ALWAYS" use 4 or five strips of sandpaper, one on the edge for the tracking roller.
Thank you, I will check it out.
