Cool pattern for the board. How are you planning to finish it?
I have the blank already glued up. So it should look similar to this.
Project complete.
The variety in the bands looks great, haven't done any of the boards yet. Sil has being doing them for all using colored epoxy pours with various woods.
Very nice Oscar.
Well done Oscar! I've played with AI generating a little bit. You can make up some cooling looking objects using the right word patterns.. I have a friend who is developing a app/program for taking a photo and turning it into a 3D model. Right now faces are looking great.
That is super cool with your friend. I am still learning good word prompts. I am not very good with it yet.
My new charcuterie board. Still trying to use up my off cuts. New AI pattern.
Pattern included.
Looks great and obviously puts your cutoffs to good use at the same time.
Very nice Oscar, and being able to use up your cutoffs is great. Your mind never seems to slow down.

Happy Easter day.
Happy Easter. Like the pic. Maybe my imagination but doesn't seem as smooth as your work but I'm sure a lot less time consuming.
Thx.
Happy Easter.
It does feel like cheating. Told the AI to generate 20 images. Walked away for a bit and had breakfast. Went back to the computer and picked the one that I liked and thought would work. Ran it through the AI height map generator and done.
I am still not very good with my prompts and different databases give different results based on its training which I am not super familiar with so I have a long ways to go to actually be proficient. So any deficiencies in the pattern are due to my lack of prompt skills and database knowledge.
Looking great Oscar, and I'm sure that you will master the A I generator.
Here is an AI generated cowboy bust for your carving pleasure.
Looks like he's been on the range for a while. You're covering quite a variety of fields testing the AI and it seems to be responding.
Have to agree, with the long time on the range look. Very nice as he looks to have leather for skin, hard to believe you ca get such a look.
AI generated puppy portrait.
Thank you Oscar . I can see many places were that would be helpful.
I really like this AI pattern. I know not to everyone's taste but it calls to my dark inner soul. lol
Need to clean up the pattern and maybe add some more elements. I have a piece of cedar calling it.
AI prompt: Abstract in the style of HR Giger
Should look good in a sci-fi movie
This is what I finally came up with. I am going to try to carve this tomorrow in cedar. 7" x7" x.5".
Right out of the CW and quick sanding to knock off the big fuzzies. Eastern red cedar. When I apply some lacquer its going to really pop.
Final piece. Really happy with it.
Really does pop. I hadn't thought about using cedar, really adds contrast that especially works with the subject. Have you taken up air brushing? The ability to add shading and hints of color can add to a project.
Got to agree it really pops. I like the air brush idea, my son has been doing a little air brushing now with his 3d printer projects and what he can do with it is very impressive. He claims it is easy. amazing the look he can get, I didn't know the talent he has.
Thanks all. I actually bought a cheap air brush for my own 3d projects to learn with but haven't gotten to it yet. Too many hobbies/projects and too much procrastination.
Wasp height map. Practicing and learning on how to utilize AI for my cnc patterns.
For your D&D nerd's (I used to be one) special decorative corner post ornamentation.
You really make a guy think. Wasn't one so really had to look at the pic and 'ponder' it before my lite came on as to what D&D meant. Looks like you're having fun and enjoying the AI tool..
lol. I am a nerd. This AI stuff has been a lot of fun but also a little scary. Making good patterns no longer requires a lot of technical 3d modeling knowledge. A few pushes of a few buttons and you can make really decent patterns.
This is what the pattern looks like of the dragon bust.
Wow that is amazing, AI could be a huge help to techno dummies like myself, but I can also see the scary side.
Another AI pattern post processed with Blender3d.
