When Cut motor starts goes back to main menu

My machine suddenly developed a problem that I believe is a false error. It goes through the normal checks but when the cutting motor starts the LCD flashes "Pleas close cover" and then returns to the main menu. I have gone through the sensor checks for the cover and all works fine. I have held down the cover to make sure it does not bounce but no help. I am wondering if this is a power supply problem because it only happens when the cut motor starts. Has anyone experienced this issue or have any suggestions.
