Y and Z axis stall
Had a friend getting Y and Z axis stalls, he searched here and went through the regular possibilities (cleaning, checking rails belts etc). Nothing, whilst he had the CW laying on its side he tried to run it, and it worked fine. Long story short when he took the cover off of the controller board (where the card plugs in) he discovered a broken connection on a capacitor (see pics). Just thought I would add this up here for future reference. He brought it to me to repair, $2.76 later on a new Capacitor, back up and running. Also whilst I was replacing the capacitor, I found a stray nut from the 15 pin connector from a missing screw terminal, (again see pic) this could also have been causing problems, vibrating and shorting out connections!
Just an FYI

Do you still have a QC?

@henry1 - capacitor was easy to find, and the repair was easy if you are comfortable using a soldering iron.
@Al - the machine has the ROCK, but who knows how long the stray nut was loose inside, maybe before the QC was changed out.
