    THE "PICKLE JAR TERRARIUM"

Make a cool terrarium using a gallon-size glass pickle jar and your CarveWright machine! I've had "make a terrarium project" on my to-do list for awhile, but hesitated because I needed to find a reliable source for a "standard size" and affordable glass container.

Finally, it occurred to me that a large pickle jar would make a dandy terrarium, is easily sourced and is dirt cheap...only about $5 for a gallon of pickles at the time of this writing. Follow along, as I show you how to make this fun project!

The project uses just the 1/8" Cutting Bit and no other bits are required.

The finished dimensions of the assembled project are about 9" round x 14" tall.

This Month’s New Project of the Month:
    FRIENDS AND FAMILY EVENT ORGANIZER

Here is a cool project that a couple of the folks from CarveWright headquarters suggested. I really liked the idea and went for it! This type of wall-hung plaque is most commonly known as a "birthday board", but I decided to call it the Friends & Family Event Organizer.

You'll find yourself referring to the 'board' often and is quite handy for notating recurring monthly events, such as birthdays and anniversaries (Husbands rejoice! - now you'll always 'remember' those important dates!)

The text is completely customizable, so you can change and modify the carved wording to anything you like. The fonts are Freestyle Script and Arial Bold. If you don't have these fonts, you can substitute other similar fonts as desired.

The project uses just the 1/16" Carving Bit and the 1/8" Cutting Bit. No other bits are required.
