Version shows 1.132.06784. The glue on the sandpaper belt has let go. Its the old style with the bit chucks with the crossmembers and old chuck. Does not come with reader nor memory card but DOES have original box and 2 scanner probes for some reason. I thought someone could use it for a parts machine or repair the belt. If you are interested, please let me know and I will put you in contact w Stanley.

Hey Calling in from Canada, West Coaster now formerly from the Canadian Rockies. Bought my Carvewright B machine in 2006, still working but no hours, meter never worked? Now part of Mens Shed where I will let other Golden grumpies use my machine if it holds out. Several Questions:

1. Have Designer 1.188 still in use on an old win 10 computer, my 2nd computer with win 11, reset and lost Designer setting on it, am I out of luck?

2. If I purchase Designer 5 does centerline text carve still work on it?

3. Any other tricks or tips on setting up designer 5 on a old machine.

4. Any thoughts on that free G-coder uses on other machines, ie the Good, Bad or Ugly.

Have a Great Day

Cheers

I've owned my machine since the "Compucarve" days when you could buy them at Sears, how many remember that store?

My first machine had to be returned because it kept stalling.

I have owned the second (A series) machine since then.

and believe it or not it still works just fine even with Designer 5.

I recently started using my machine again and have had a few stalls while carving a large piece (48" Long)

I intend on being active in the community this time around.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the Forum.

Now get carvin'.... 😎

Hi,

My name is Bob Hoering. I have an older Carvewright machine that is in good condition. Actually one of the first. I live about 40 miles north of LHR where the machines are built. My machine has been sitting in my spare bedroom and has not been used in awhile. I have decided to sell it.

Whomever purchases the machine may have to buy Designer 5 which according to LHR will work fine on my machine. I ran thru tests on my machine and it passed all tests.

Machine has only 32 hours on it, includes the full set of bits in original case (cost $250+ at the time and many of the bits have not been used), a few extra routing and carving bits, 4 sand belts (new), the hardware probe (never used) and a few pieces of acrylic with a sled I made.

I am asking $ 900.00 for everything. Purchaser will have to buy Designer 5 ($300) if they don't have it already.

I don't get on this forum very often so if you are interested you can email me at bobhoering@yahoo.com.

Thanks
