They are tuned using a tuner. The finger holes are cut undersized and gradually enlarged until the correct note is reached. The length of the flute and inner diameter of the flute determines the base tuning of the flute.

These look amazing. Do you have a tuning process? I know the deaf thing, The most used word that I speak is what, having spent many years in mills and a few other loader hobbies I enjoy. Music may have had something to do with it as well.
