Wow, your beautiful flutes must sound as stunning as they look! Do you find the different woods affect the tone?

@samlevy0515 Slightly. I do not have a trained ear but the softer lumbers give a warmer softer sound to me. The hard woods sound a bit crisper but it might just be my half deaf ears.

Well Oscar, you seemed to have done it again. These look amazing. Do you have a tuning process? I know the deaf thing, The most used word that I speak is what, having spent many years in mills and a few other loader hobbies I enjoy. Music may have had something to do with it as well.

Thank you. They are tuned using a tuner. The finger holes are cut undersized and gradually enlarged until the correct note is reached. The length of the flute and inner diameter of the flute determines the base tuning of the flute.
