I damaged one of my sand paper belts (dumb accident....don't ask). It seems easy to replace. Are there any tips I should be aware of? Also, how much are they at CW? Are they available other places online?

Thanks,

YEP, ROCKY,

Join the crowd! You'll find instructions in the owner's manual. They're about 15 bucks + shipping from LHR

A bench vise helps. Most vises have a pipe claw on the underside that the rollers will fit into..

LHR gives the drift pins to lock the springs in place, when compressing the roller make shure the rods do not hang up on the outside of the hole and bind. Over pressure with the clamp can damage the roller if the rods stick.

As a tip I also cut 1/2 off the sandpaper end to give more
tracking space.

Thanks, folks. Has anyone tried LHR's new high priced belts?

I still have the originals with over 400 hours carve time...so...why spend that kind of money??? Well, I guess you would be able to use them on the next three machines you wear out!

I have only torn a belt once from a drywall screw just sticking below the surface of the bottom. errr!

With the wider sleds 14.68" or heavier stock the sandpaper will get slick after 70/100 hrs, so the new belts could help out..
