The project of the month email arrived. When I try to load it up it says it was created with a newer version of the software and wants my to try to upgrade. I'm running the current version, 1.131.

Did you guys do it in a beta version and forget to backrev it?

Thought I was going crazy myself!

I get the same message when I try to open the mpc files.

Maybe Michael did this in the new software version and LHR forgot to post the software update!

I just saw the postings. Thank you for the alert!

I created the Sailboat Project using ver. 1.131 of Designer, so I don't know why opening the mpc is generating the message "created in a newer version".

I'll call LHR today and see what I can find out.

FYI - the Klockit link has a fantom ")" in the link in the article, and Klockit's site is not functioning properly this weekend - (but the site seems to be working now)

I also get an error msg when I try to update my license updated.

It say "an invalid response was received from the registration server. Please call CarveWright".

Will give them a call and see....Software support is aware of the issue and they are working as I type to figure it out. Omar said to hang in there!!

We are aware of the issue and are working to get it resolved. The engineers are working to get everything fixed. Give us a few hours to get things straightened out and then then try doing it again in a few hours.

Download the sailboat project yesterday and got the error "created with a newer version of the software." Saw on the forum that this problem was being fixed in a couple of hours. Downloaded it again today and got the same message. My dial up connection takes me about a half hour to download these. Can you post when this problem is fixed. Don't want to waste another half hour and find out it doesn't work.

Tech support said that they know of the problem and that it should be fixed tomorrow.

I finally got my license to update for the sailboat piece but when trying to open the patterns I'm still getting the message that the project was written in a newer version than what I'm running. I'm running 1.131...so it's not totally fixed yet.

FYI - I experienced the same as Lin... License succeeded, loading into Designer 1.131 gives error message.

Looks like an epidemic! Got it licensed but version error message persists. At least we're making progress. I tried downloading the original file again. It didn't help. Sorry guys but i have to say it sort of "took the wind outta my sails." Uuuuugh!

We are currently working on getting the opening error resolved. We will be releasing a software update either tonight or tomorrow that will fix the issue.

I just downloaded the new 1.132 to fix the problem with the project.But it only managed to creat a new problem.Now when I try to open any of the 3 mpc's it now tells me license required.I already went thru that and it shows as licensed on my account data. All my old projects that show as licensed open just fine.Guess it's time to call LHR again for help.

Does anybody have a link for 1.131? I don't have the sail boat project or plan on getting it and I am having problems with the pattern editor crashing. Was the update produced only for the sail boat project? I don't see the update advantage.

No, the update was not for the Sailboat Project (I created it using ver. 1.131) - just the normal evolution of software fixes and improvements:

- "Scale to Fit Board" checkbox added to allow original size to be kept
- "Download Scan" added to the Flash Manager
- Trim function added to Pattern Editor
- New "optimal" quality feature added for higher quality rasters
- fixed errorneous "too thick to cut" message
- ...and a bunch of other odds and ends
