This is a litho i seen from another cw owner so I looked till I found the same picture on the net,Then I curved the corian in the oven ,on the forums they mentioned 350 degrees for 5 min, wasnt enough for the curve so I put it in for 10 min seemed to do the trick .My brother and I had some trial and errors but got it to work. Then we built the box to match the curve. For the back we probed an air duct vent and used that for the vent hole in the back.Blue Christmas lights were used on the earth tough to tell but they really are BLUE.Actually there are 35 blue lights over the earth and a single puck light on jesus. Were both pretty happy with the way it turned out.Hopefully the pics are big enough to see.

Nice Job Ron,

I really do like the effect you achieved
by incorporating two different colored light sources.

+ 1

I do have some questions about bending the Corian.

After cooling did the corian stiffen to it's normal stregnth? Iunder stand your method and am interrested in doing something like this myself. No not a litho just in case you are wondering.

Really nice work, you have set a new standard with them.

thanx for all the kind words, makes it worth while when something turns out,not everything does, lol. This is the first one that ive bent.Seems to harden to the same as original.I had it over a board and held the edges down and sprayed it with cool water to speed up the curing process.I've seen other smaller ones that looked as good or better in the forums here.Funny what you can learn here.
