Hi All,

Tonight in the middle of carving a Tic Tac Toe game board, the machine stopped and displayed "Project Error -122"

I have ran this same project 20+ times in the last few weeks and have never had a problem.

Any ideas what could cause it or what the error means?

I have also sent an email to LHR, but thought I would post it here too.

Pete

Hello Pete,

You might want to call LHR rather than email. (NOTE: They are closing early today.)

I would look for something like a loose memory card, loose cable under the hood.

Will it reset and home again to start over?

I just spoke with LHR.

The error "Project Code -122" is a corrupt file.

They suggested that I reformat the memory card, reload firmware and upload the file again.

I will try that and let everyone know the outcome.

Weird thing is that I have used the same project file many times.

Regardless, good to know what the error code means.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Peter

There have been times when someone I know pulled the card out of the machine before turning it off. I ... er... they have also installed the card in the machine while it was ON. Both of these mistakes can corrupt the file.

Yep, static electricity can do the same thing when handling the card. Mentioned that (at LHR's request) in the Nov 2008 Tips...

"A TIP from CarveWright Tech Support:

As the weather turns cold and humidity is
down, there is a greater potential for static
discharge to harm your machine and/or
memory card. To avoid “zapping” them,
just touch a light switch cover plate screw
to discharge any static electricity from your
body BEFORE touching your machine or
memory card!"
