Could be many things....

Does your board have 7 extra inches of wood longer than your designer board? A board not held be 2 rollers can tip UP and jam the bit while it is moving in the Y direction. A Board held down with 2 rollers is better, it stays flat.

Loose bit in the holder slipping down and causing the Y to stall.

ALL NEW LHR bits need to be disassembled and reassembled with blue lock tite. I had a 1/8 inch bit work all day last winter and overnight in the cold the metal shrink and the bit fell out of the bit holder.... Now that was COLD..... 10 degrees in the shop....

Sawdust in the Y belt Cogs jamming the belt to a stop.

Bad power supply causing a momentary power failure.

That should get you started.
