Trying To Carve

Ok I have an idea ( smell the smoke) I want to carve a piece that has a I guess you'd call it a concave part that resembles the wing on the batman logo. Is there a way to do this?

Ken yes similar to that, I want to carve the area on the bottom edge of the wing where it slopes upward and around.
