For the box, did you use the machine to carve the columns and figures as one piece and then miter the sides together, or are these done as separate pieces?

SawDustSteve, I carved all items at once, then carved an 1/8" recess on the back and glued a 1/8" piece of plywood with a picture of black marble glued on it, then mitered the pieces at the columns. It is also a music box and has a secret compartment. The little brass thing with the butterfly in it is the "key" for the hidden compartment.
