Often when I try to look at .MPC files posted in the forum I get this message.

Thanks,

What a check sum is.....

When data is transfered in groups or packets or like a "sentence at a time" in computer language. The transfer program does a mathematical addition of the bits or 1's and 0's in binary. It checks when the data is transfered and only looks at the check sum number to know if the transmission was successful. A Check Sum error could be a Computer Problem with your RAM or even your computer connection to the internet. It will try a few times and if the error continues give up and give you a check sum error.

Try loading the same thing with another computer.
