I used a 90-V Groove Bit to carve the 12" x 14" x 1/2" MDF Board,
and Faux finished it with water base Black Cherry Stain,
then sanded it with 180 Grit random orbital sander,
1 coat of Amber Shellac and two coats of Clear Gloss Lacquer.

I was really impressed when I saw what Ken did with a few curved lives. I wish I had that talent. I carved his MPC on a piece of 3/4" oak plywood. I was expecting some chip-out on the veneer, but surprisingly, it came out chip free. Again, give all the credit to Ken. I'm showing it here just to his design on a piece of plywood.

Thanks, Ken.

Rocky,

Glad you like the carving, and Happy to see it worked for you on Plywood, it looks really good.
You can carve it with either "V"-Groove bit 60 or 90 Degree, to suit your own preference. http://forum.carvewright.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

I bought my machine and bit set through Amazon.com. I wish I had gone with LRW but I had some trouble with the store and went with Amazon. No reflection on LWR as Jason was very helpful via several e-mails with helping me to make the decision to buy. When I am ready for the probe scanner I will surely get it from him.

cheers,
