Saving Renames Of Groups or Objects

I have been creating mpc. files with various object elements, which I group together by similarity to keep my Carve List manageable.

Although the Carve List can rename Groups (by accessing the menu with the right mouse button), Designer does not save the Rename. Everything reverts back to the generic "Group" tag.

Any advice?

Hmmm...mine seem to save just fine.

Are you hitting "Enter" on your keyboard after typing the group name?

If you just "click out" of it with your mouse, the name won't be saved.

Yes, indeed, that was the problem. You definitely have to hit Enter. That is not mentioned in the handbook. Thanks, Chris
