I would like to be able to trace Calvin with a V bit as if i was doing text.
I do not have patern editor if that is any help in what i am trying to do.
I would like to know how it is done so not only can i do Calvin but others as well. any help is apreciated but please make it easy to understand
I need a "Carvewright for Dummys" Book.

Like this? Steve guess you want to know how! Make sure pattern is highlighted then hit outline, then choose the outline you wanted and then choose the bit. At first it will outline the whole thing, but I deleted all but the outer line then picked a V bit

What Ike is saying is open your mpc. in designer,highlight the pattern, right click,outline pattern,highlight only the lines you want and apply a V- bit.

Or are you trying to carve it like Centerline with Line and Segment tools and V-Groove Bits

Does anyone use that service"Vectormagic" I think it was?
I know a simple drawing as this you can do in designer just by tracing over the lines and useing feather I think. Is that right Ken?

It's a bit time consuming but tracing over the lines with Designer can be done.
I've tried it a couple of times with pretty good results.
The last time I tried to use "Vectormagic" it said something
about no long being free and software had to be purchased

Steve here is the type font. Use upper case (~)

I cannot cut or copy the font in my fonts, not sure how to use it .
