CW is sending me the lower fixed bearing for the Z truck. Somehow the screw holding it in place came loose and would not tighten thus causing carving problems.

The CW tech advised if the screw would not back out it the head would need to be drilled out. I’ve done that and the bearing is out.

I noticed on the back of the fixed bearing, there is a screwdriver slot to aid in tightening the screw for the bearing. Of course it appears you could only do this with the Z truck off the machine. So my question is to those who have done this, can I tighten up that screw sufficiently, with the locktite applied of course, without taking the Z truck off.

All ideas, good, will be appreciated.

You must remove the Z Truck to tighten the left bearing.

Search me posts on the Z Truck bearings, lots of pictures. Too bad all that good info is not in a Sticky. It goes further down each day.
