.ptn files won't open

when I try to load a .ptn file (ex from pattern store) I get a error message stating that its not a recognized file. I'm using Vista as my operating sys.

How are you trying to load the .ptn file?

You can go to File>Open scroll the file type to (.ptn) then navigate to where the .ptn file is saved.

If you are using import, that is for importing images only.

wich designer version are you using? and if the ptn's are from the store they have to be registered.
