Cut motor speed

Has there been any resolution or any real answer as to why the cut motor changes speed during a carving? I've read through several threads here on the forum, but I couldn't find any conclusions. I'm not even sure if it is a problem. I've read where it could be a bad magnet, heat build up in the cable, software version, etc.
