Congrats,

As a fellow new owner, I can't urge you strongly enough to read through some of the hints, tips & tricks folks have posted here. The helpful information that experienced users have posted is tremendously generous. This is an incredible resource, and the senior people on here are extremely helpful.

Areas to check into on these forums to avoid any hick ups are Quick Change cleaning, cleaning, sawdust removal importance, cable heat & lubing. I would suggest reading up on those area definitely to get that part of the learning curve in place early.

I bet he was up at the crack of dawn chomping at the bit to get started.

Nice work to, and if he was up at the crack of dawn, he made really good use of his time.

Coffee, Donuts, is it done yet?

LOL

Well I actually made up the sign last night....Had to wait till I got home from work to do the carve.

Now all I have to do is some sanding a painting to finish it...

The wood was pine....premium select from lowes.

Looks awesome,,,,,once I finally get done with my move hopefully I'll be able to post some pics of projects I've done. The wife has them all on her PC since she sells them for me. And like the rest of the folks said,,,,,,welcome to carvaholics R us! Ha Ha! You said you did that in premium select pine,,,,it looks great. I mostly use whiteboard pine and have a BLAST cause it's so easy to work.

Dale,

That is a great job for a first carve! You are more than well on your way to a lot saw dust.

PS: make sure the "bus" keeps all 4 on the road!
