Somewhere, in all the 'stuff' I have read before and after getting a CW, I recall seeing something about the CW automatically shutting down after "x" number of minutes of non-use. I've looked through the CW menus, but didn't see such an option. Was this a feature that has been eliminated, or am I day dreaming?

I set both my machines to "none" so they won't power down by themselves.

DAH! Don't I feel stupid. I thought that I had looked through the Options. Oh well!

Is it correct to assume the CW won't power down in the middle of the job?

Not unless something goes horribly wrong. I've had a spindle bearing oscillate bad enough to trip the cover switch and shut itself off. The Z-pack encoder losing counts and shutting off due to Z-Stall error. Bu there is no "timeout" while carving.
