Just got my latest Wood magazine and couldn't wait! A woodworker made a wooden sports car that can do 200mph!
Now we need to get together and all of us fire up our machines and make a faster one! Or we could all make pine wood derby cars and race!!!

Actually, in the article it states the wood has a strength to weight ratio superior to aluminum, steel and fiberglass. Plus it was built in North Carolina by Joe Harmon a North Carolina State University graduate student, in his backyard shop!
At over 200 miles an hour whatever it was made of if it catches fire you are toast!
