Ike,

I figured as much. I would not think that an anti gun person would have posted anything like this. Now we can carry em and carve em!

I think I may carve one and hang it from my mailbox.

Ike,

Believe me if you like the hunting and shooting sports you will love South Dakota! I have never seen more ringnecks in one place at one time. Had to just stop and watch them fly. Nothing can match the sound at sundown sitting by a large sunflower field next to the prairie grass listening and watching they fly till it is to dark to see them.

Oh yea the people in South Dakota like us gun owners also!

I may just make some of those signs up and go to the next gun show, this time as a seller instead of a buyer.

Here’s a new one for me!
A Sales Rep stopped by today and dropped off a few material samples for crate building, -- We ship a lot of stuff in custom crates.
After he left I couldn’t resist, I grabbed one of the samples – 5/8” lath pine core covered top and bottom with 1/16” Luan Mahogany
and a pattern and stuck them in my Carver. The carving came out fine and looked Ok. --But
That’s when I noticed that I had forgotten to set the rear guide rail after the 55 minute carve,
the guide turn out to be 2½” from the stock all the time it was carving.
I never pulled that one before! --- http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif opps

kendall,

The product is solid core wafer board, imported form you know where.
(Wonder how much Lead is in it)
It's very light weigh -- less than its equivalent in plywood.
The main problem I found carving it where the voids and lack of glue between the strips of pine that make up the core.
It appeared to me that that the outer layers of 1/16" Luan where holding it all together,
plus both the Luan and Pine were quite fuzzy after carving it.
I'm sure the product will be fine for what it was designed for (Shipping Crates)
But I'll have to pass on it for carving in our Machines.
