yep, just looked at the Sears main page on the internet and they have them listed for sale again. New and refurbished.

Refurbished??? I would be skeptical of that one... I guess if it has a warannty.. Maybe.. Yes $1800.00 is high i believe for anyone. I think its money well spent considering some of the nice stuff i have made and knowing the endless capabilities.. Considering $1800.00 and CNC capabilities you cant touch one for less. I by no means am a man of money but i still wouldnt mind buying upgrades.. Such as beefier motor, and certain parts that are more sturdy and of better quality.. Suprising thats not offered, seems it would be a virtual cash cow.. Good luck and happy carving..

It's 20% off all day today (Saturday August 16, 2008).

Just under $2K for a new one along with 5 year protection, shipping + tax.

It was a long wait until Sears had it available again. After reading in several places, we decided to still wait until Sears had it and get something more than 100 hours warranty. Being retired, we have time to chase Sears on their promises if/when it becomes time for that.

Thanks for the welcome. Now have to re-find and re-read the threads, I know there's at least two different lubricants to get and also time to clean up the ShopVac.

It'll be the best deal only if advice given from those who blazed today's paths are followed, to keep it in good shape, and keep fingers crossed that all the different components are good.

200, yes 200 machine hours. Thanks for the correction/reminder. A wee bit too many months since I last read up.
