Anybody ever tried one of these?

Never heard of it before - my brother told me about a mini-sandblaster - also called a hobby abrasive gun - looks just like an airbrush..Take a look here -

I've seen some painter's use an airbrush like that, but never an abrasive gun. Wonder how well it works?

I have a commercial 120 Lb. shot and sand blasting set up that we use on stone and metals.
I only tried it on one CW carving project,-- even at low pressure and fine grit it was way to aggressive on the wood.
The air brush unit at the site you post looks far more promising for wood carving clean ups and touch ups.

Hey, Ken -

Do you suppose you could use a regular airbrush with 240 grit AO instead of paint?

I've got a basic sandblast gun, and a rather cheap airbrush, and now that I think about it, the theory's basically the same.

Maybe the tip would be different, but airbrush kits are a dime a dozen at Harbor Freight, etc.

The Tips - Nozzles are definitely different, alloy steel or ceramic, and no spray needles.
I think it's a pretty different animal on the inside compared to a regular air brush.
