Is there a "help" file for the CW Pattern Editor (the editor one gets when one double clicks on a pattern in CW Designer)? When I'm in CW PE, clicking on the "help" doesn't do anything. The "help" file in CW Designer works fine.

Thanks,

Hi Rocky,

Nope, it would appear there is no help file active from within PE. What would your question about PE be buddy?

Also, I believe there is a segment on PE in the last Tips & Tricks on the CW website.

Chris, thanks for asking, but I have no specific question (yet). I was just going to use the help file to learn how to use the various tools and functions.

We are all waiting for Chris to publish his CarveWright For Dummies. :)

Hello Rocky,

The last issue ("The CarveWright Pattern Editor", July 2008) of the Tips & Tricks shows every Pattern Editor tool along with a label of its function/purpose. I think you'll find it helpful as you learn.

Also, I'm finishing up the August 2008 Tips & Tricks which has a tutorial on the "De-Noise Filter" and another on the "Quantize Filter". Most folks don't know what those are really used for, so I decided to do a write up on both this month to illustrate and explain their function.

Please sign up to receive the FREE Tips & Tricks automatically via your email. Fill in the "Join Our Mailing List" at the CarveWright homepage (right-hand side of page), and you'll not miss anything in the future. http://www.carvewright.com

In the meantime, you can download all the back issues Tips & Tricks at:

Thanks, folks. All current issues of Tip & Tricks now downloaded. The July 2008 issue looks like just what I'm looking for.
