I tried a search first because I remember some threads about some carvers placing a plastic tip of some sort on the probe to alleviate the possible scratching. HOwever nothing tuned up.
I've got a chrome license plate that the dealer lent me with a college logo glued on the face of the chrome. I would like to scan the logo but fear the probe will scratch the chrome.
Anybody with experience placing a sharp plastic tip or something similare on the probe's tip that would not scratch and still provide a good detail transfer?
