Edit by Jeff_Birt: I moved these post out of another thread as they were WAY off topic.

No offense, Chris, but prying that Fender out of his hands is kinda like getting you to ride a Suzuki

Nothing wrong with a Suzuki (unless you're one of those HD fanatics )

I rode a 1976 Suzuki GT 750 "Water Buffalo" waay back in the day - who remembers those?

Yes I thinks so, look liked the Moto Guzzy some and only came in black?

1976 was my "on any sunday time" I still have my 1988 CR and go out a bit, and a old 1983 honda 50 mini trail.. ;)

Had to sell my running 83' 250 Macio spider after the big D..

Pic of a '76 - mine was red, black Bates bags, and a Windjammer Fairing. Traded it for a new '82 Interstate (man, I'm dating myself!)

Very Nice CNS...here's my 98 Suzuki Intruder 1400 last summer on a ride around the finger lakes in NY State.

This is a 1947 Indian that I was assembling and restoring for a client of mine last fall.
Fortunately he had already located most of the necessary parts I needed in advance.
It took me a month and a half of my spare time to finish it.
All the while I worked on it I could only wish it was mine. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/icons/icon11.gif

Yep, Everything is backward. At time, this and a few other models were been used by the police dept's.
And most of the officers being right handed -- they wanted to keep their gun hand free if they needed hit.

Ken

That is a beautiful bike - what kind of shape was it in pre-resto?

Where do you find parts for a bike like that?

So long as we're in the process of resto's - take a look at the attached - my son's and my project thru his High-School days.

cnsranch,

Very Nice!! Great Father and Son project
it looks like quality time well spent.

The owner of the Indian spent two years locating the parts and dropped them off in 4 duffel bags along with the frame.

That's the condition I receive a lot of the projects I work on.
I'm guessing because no one else want's to try.

Here's a project I used my machine to scan the parts and carve the missing ones.
It saved me weeks of time! 1889 and 1900 Barber Chairs a couple of the first with true oil pressure lift.
Photos Before and After a trip to my shop.
The plastic sheeting was to contain the horse hair and its dust that was used to pad the seats.
