I HATE my first post to be a warning. But thanks to everyone on here, I've been able to solve most of my problems without posting. However...
I have about 6 patterns that I use all the time. Never a problem. That is until I installed 3.0! In less than 3 hours of 3.0 use I have burnt bits, a melted flex shaft and a head that wobbles like a kids toy. I get the feeling that this will be an expensive lesson.
My point is..Don't walk away from the machine until you've watched it do a whole pattern. You may have a chance to stop it before the damage is done.
Best of luck to everyone!
Tim

Tim,

I'm truly sorry to hear what happen to your machine, thanks sharing it with us.
I'm sure other folks on this forum will ask additional questions
and ask for a little more information about your patterns and problems. http://www.carvewright.com/forum/images/icons/icon9.gif

Its actually 1.13, and if you search they have been discussing those problems for since the patch came out.

Check the forums and you will find alot of the same problems and some fixes.

Actually guys, a better thread is this sticky for all the info and testing to date. It will answer a lot of questions. Be sure to read it from the first post....

Yes everyone..Sorry I meant 1.13.
My patterns are simple lettering projects like "Rest Room" and "Open". Cutting in pine and using a 60 degree v- bit.

These were my basic "set it up and go do something else" patterns.

I re installed the software flashed the card just to be sure.

I'll be down for a while but would love some comments for when I get up and running again. Thanks to all!!
