View Full Version : Caligary Truespace Now Free

First, I don't know anything about this software. I have seen it mentioned a few times as being beneficial for creating 3D drawings and converting 2D to 3D. But the several hundred $$$$ price was restrictive.
I picked up on a woodworking forum that Truespace is now available as a free download from Caligari.

Anyhow, enjoy if it's worthwhile.:rolleyes:

TrueSpace was one of the first 3D program for home computers as far back as the 1980 running on the Amiga.

Thanks for the "lead". Can Truespace be used to create #D objects and then import them into Designer?

I'll second go3d.

I downloaded the program last week - along with the video manual, etc. I'm no cad designer, apparently you have to have two brain cells to rub together to make this program work - it's way above my head.

It's a pretty cool program, but so's the cockpit of a 747, and I don't think I can run one of those, either.

I am not saying to use it.. funny thing it was hard to use 18 years ago but now it free..


However, it's harder than you might think.

I'll second go3d.

I can make a 747 work, That's easy! This program is WAY harder than that!
