Attached is a simple pattern encompassing text letters. This is one in a series of letters that my daughter wants to hang in her daughter's room -- in about five months when the baby is due.

I've cut this out and she and I found that the letters, cut from pine, finish better on the bottom than on the top of the board. Thus the reason for flipping the text.

Now the problem is after outlining the pattern and setting the cut path, it ends up severing the point between the letters "e" and "s".

I've placed a carve region in that area with a depth of .70 -- board thickness .750.

Question is will the cut path observe that carve region and preserve the connection between the two letters?

Or is there a way to easily edit the cut path and preserve the connection.

Oh by the way, I usually delete the text after establishing the cutpath.

Thanks as always for the anticipated help.
