Thanks for the question sewpeck, I didn't know that. Something new every day.

When you have multiple objects in a small area it can be hard to click on the correct one to highlight it. If you use query select it allows you to scroll through all the objects in the same area of the first one you selected until you find the one you were after.
Create 4-5 concentric circles and select/query select the outer one. Now, keep clicking and watch as it scroll through all the circles.
